Welcome to Snydens

Hello and welcome to Snydens, the last party game you will ever need!

What is Snydens?

Snydens is card-based drinking game meant for social gatherings. In every game the players will play through a deck of cards and answer questions, do small challenges and activities.

How does the game work?

Each game is controlled by a host who invites players to join them with their phones using a QR-code. The host then proceeds by reading the cards from a deck out loud to the participating players.

Every player, including the host has the ability to interact with the game in three different ways, apart from acting on the contents of the cards. The three different mods of interaction are called: Swap Player, Adjust Number, and Skip Card, and can only be used once by each player every game.

Swap Player

The Swap Player action allows a player to swap the name of a player appearing on a card for another one. For instance, if you are the target for a particularily awkward question on a card, you can redirect this to another player.

Adjust Number

The Adjust Number action allows a player to adjust one or several numbers appearing on a card. For instance, if a player is chosen to do 10 push ups, you can intervene by either increasing or decreasing the amount.

Skip Card

The Skip Card action allows a player to remove a card from the deck, in order to prevent it from being played.

What is a deck?

Decks are collections of cards that are made by users of Snydens. Before a game is created by the host, a deck has to be chosen. After all the players have joined the game, 60 cards (or less) will be pulled from the deck in random order and be populated with the names of the participants.

What is a card?

A card consists of two elements, a type and a description. The type defines how the players should act on the description of the card. Here is a full list of the different types you can expect in Snydens.

How Do I Create Deck?

Decks can be created through your personal Decks page.

How Do I Select Players In My Cards?

When you write the description of your card you can insert a $ (dollar sign) followed by a number (1-9). This tells Snydens, that it should be replaced with a participants name while playing.

In a game with three participants: Max, Stella, and Jordan. The following Challenge card is pulled from the deck.

$1 tell the group your best joke, if you can make $2 laugh you can give out 2 sips. If $2 does not laugh, $1 has to drink them themselves.

This card uses both $1 and $2. This means that Snydens will pick two players of the three at random and replace $1 and $2 with their names. Note that the number does not have any implications for which players are chosen. Let us say that Max and Jordan are chosen. Resulting in the following card.

Max tell the group your best joke, if you can make Jordan laugh you can give out 2 sips. If Jordan does not laugh, Max has to drink them themselves.
